Spectacles
The key advantage of spectacles is that they are tried and tested and are very easy to use. You can put on and remove the spectacles as and when you want. You do not need to stand in front of a mirror and poke into your yes every time to put on or remove them. Plus, the spectacles are available in many designs, colors and shapes so you can easily match them with your dress. Above all, spectacles are a onetime investment if you take good care of them.
The key drawback of spectacles is that they kill your look. If you do not choose the exact best type of spectacles, you will end up with a depressingly nerdy look. Moreover, if you place your spectacles somewhere and then forget where you kept them, you will be stranded. Plus there is the risk where in an accident, your spectacles break and the glass punctures or injures your eyes causing severe damage.
Contact Lenses
The key advantage of contact lenses is that they are very subtle and will not ruin your natural looks. In fact, most people will not even know that you are wearing contact lenses. You will not easily lose your contact lenses either because they will generally be placed in your eyes. Obviously, you will not take them out just casually and place them anywhere. The second advantage is the availability of colored contact lenses. Choose a new color for your eyes every day and match them with your mood and dress!
The drawback side of contact lenses includes the first point that contact lenses need annual replacement and that is the maximum lifetime of a pair of lenses. If you are wearing disposable contacts, your contact lenses will not last for more than one use because these are meant to be used just once. Moreover, putting on and removing contact lenses is quite a chore. Plus, maintenance of contact lenses is very complicated. You cannot step out in a dusty environment without sunglasses and will always need to carry the lens cleaner and case with you!
This is a debate that will always rage on. The decision has to be taken on a case to case basis and you can always use both, as per your mood and the kind of environment you will be going into!
